I decided to entitle my blog "A Personal Search For Happiness." It means exactly what it entails. Just like everyone else in this world, I am on my personal search for happiness. Everything I do in life is in pursuit of this. That's all I've done all my life--and I will thus continue to do so... For now, and through all eternity.
I will spare you the introductions of myself, my history, and my plans for the future--in detail all at once that is. I intend this to be exactly what it is... a BLOG. Thus, I will write in it as often as I remember or have time, and it will only be current affairs... this way I'll still be able to incorporate a lot of my past, and hopefully convey a little of my personality... maybe even some testimony throughout. So, enough of the intros.
Today is my wife's birthday. We didn't plan this, but it seems to have become a new tradition in our home that birthdays last more than just one day... it seems that they seem to last as long as necessary--for all the gifts to be given that is. It all started with my birthday back in September... or, shall I say, BEFORE September. My mother-in-law bought me a present 2 weeks early! And then, decided there was other stuff I needed, so she doted upon me again less than a week before my birthday... and then an actual birthday present came when the day really was here! How weird! I have always been so used to the tradition of having a birthday be ONE day, no more, no less... and in fact, if a present came early in the mail--or letter with money in it, etc.--it would have to wait until my official birthday... I guess those days are over.
Because I had such a long birthday, the last week, Nicole decided that she was going to have an extended birthday like I had. It all started at Thanksgiving... Nicole got her first gifts from my parents--a Willow Tree box thingy, and a pink blankey with hot pink hearts on it. She was exstatic... and then other gifts proceeded to follow... all the way up until tonight--when I bought her her last birthday present--a slushy from Dairy Queen. We both got a small... Watermelon and Strawberry Kiwi... delicious.
O how I love life...
